about

SLONK is the bedroom project-turned full-band-flesher from Bristol based Joe Sherrin. Ever prolific (he's released a full-length this year already), 'Jane's Boots' came from - in Joe's own words, "a strange evening I had where, coming home very late, me and a friend found an incredibly distressed woman lying in the middle of the road. It took a good few hours in the torrential rain convincing her we were actually just nice people trying to help her get home safely, eventually we did get her home in a taxi - though the taxi driver refused to take her unaccompanied so we had to go with her and I had to actually carry her to her door. She had a pair of boots with her that she refused to put on and her name was either Jane or Louise, I can't remember. I hope she's alright."

Dusted with bourgeoning guests from the Bristol scene including Kate Stapley + Kane Eagle on backing vocals & Philip Collings on piano, let the lo-fi beauty of the track walk all over you.
