about

Today we are delighted to announce details of the new EP from the ever prolific, irresistibly charming and admirably talented Gorgeous Bully.

For those who haven’t been with us an awfully long time, Gorgeous Bully (the moniker of musician Thomas Crang) has been a mainstay of the AIH family. Whilst based in Cornwall he first cropped up on AIH05 (a compilation of bands from the SW). He then moved to Plymouth and January 2012 saw us releasing his debut EP 'The Young Obese'. Fast forward to November 2013 and with a 7" EP under his belt, Thomas is now based in Manchester.

Whereas earlier material saw Thomas playing everything himself, 'Nobody Hates You As Much As You Hate Yourself' marks the first outing from Gorgeous Bully as a full band. Having spent the last 12 months playing up and down the country with the likes of Joanna Gruesome, Cymbals and Throwing Up some recorded output from the full band was long overdue.

The addition of a full band has certainly aided Thomas's ability to craft self aware, self inflicted ditties. Across the EP's further four tracks, expect a celebration of misery, loneliness and self-loathing, perfectly molded into three minute grungey pop songs that celebrate the freedom of not doing what is expected of you

2012's Gorgeous Bully EP was released in a cigarette style package that sold out on pre-order alone, for 'NHYAMAYHY' we have tried to come up with something just as visually appealing. The EP is set to be released on January 6th on cassette, in a hand-stamped box that contains a lyric sheet, badges, a bottle opener/lighter, a download code for an MP3 version as well as a further secret EP.

Track Name: Sinking Feeling
you I know if I wanted to, I'd be right here
stand to close you, just make this clear

i get that sinking feeling

I can't handle it, the way you speak
I can't stand it, it makes me sick

i get that sinking feeling
Track Name: Nobody Hates You As Much As You Hate Yourself
are you real tired inside, all of this commotion
you want that something but you can't make it happen

don't you just hate yourself, that little bit more than everyone else

your make ups a mask, you wear so well
hide in the stars, hide down in hell

don't you just love yourself, that little bit more than everyone else

I can't feel bad for you, I don't feel bad for you
Track Name: Sixty Bore
i don't really mind being alone
just watching television of my own
the screen flickers and the cat she claws
there's nothing on, but I don't get bored

it's just fine by me, it's all fine by me

there's no where I want to go
I'm just happy with my stereo
on my back and on my bed
my friends are calling asking if i'm dead

it's just fine by me, it's all fine by me

I know it's not alright, I know it's not ok
it's just fine by me, it's all fine by me
Track Name: Couldn't Keep It To Myself
alarmingly, i've been falling at your feet

every time you look at me, and every time we speak
and honestly, I just want a little harmony but

every time you look at me, and every time we speak

in a cold room, well only you knew

you're just too much, I can't keep it up

honestly, you've taken every little piece of me
put it somewhere that i can't see, above my head
honestly,
you know there's things that'll never be
you know there s things that'll we'll never see while we're in bed

in a cold room, you knew
you're just too much, I can't keep it up

alarmingly, alarmingly, oh alarmingly

in a cold room, you knew
you're just too much, I can't keep it up
Track Name: Habit and Fear
meet with foreign words and walk upon the dirt
heels sink on in, regret as it begins

clinging to a rose and digging out my home
dust it fills my throat
mud loves me the most

im missing the comfort of the way side

drawing out the sky
lying on your back
wait until she comes im never going back
