Part two and it’s on to someone who unless you’ve spent hours trawling Bandcamp, you probably won’t have heard of. Double Denim is the moniker of Bristol-based Tom Kelly. Somewhere (in what we can only assume is a tiny damp room) Tom has been carefully crafting, sun-kissed, lo-fi bedroom pop whilst (we’re assuming here too) digesting the entire Captured Tracks discography.

In our single’s clubs we’ve always tried to focus on mixing completely new bands alongside some of our favourites (we’ve got lots of these lined up this time) which means we’ve given bands such as Splashh, Fake Laugh and Joey Fourr their first proper releases. Hopefully this is just the start for Double Denim and we’ll hear lots more soon.
