about

Bands tend to do splits together if they’re friends or have a mutual admiration of each other. In this case these two bands live together in Sheffield sharing everything from milk to gear IN the basement they practice in. However the sounds of these particular bands could not be more different. Best Friends offer the sound of fuzzed-out, nostalgia filled garage pop whereas Grazes bring fast, melancholy noise to the table.

In the space of a year Grazes have released two pieces of vinyl with ‘Myths’ and a split with Norwich based power-violence band Jackals as well as support slots for the likes of Ceremony, Trash Talk and Cerebral Ballzy. Now Grazes return with their most visceral, haunting and destructive sound yet. ‘Timeslips’ and ‘Elbow Grease’ (mixed by James Atkinson of Rot In Hell/Voorhees) brings a heavier side to Grazes akin to the likes of HM2 worship bands such as Entombed.

If you're reading this we probably shouldn't have to tell you much about Best Friends. Earlier this year we put out their excellent second release 'Throwing Up' and the band have followed this up with two new tracks. Dude Love’ and ‘Mankind’ show a more mature sound yet still keep the catchy pop sensibilities that made Best Friends such a riotous band in the first place.

We're co-releasing this with new label Enjoyment Records and we're really excited about how it's all turned out!
